As a child, I often walked with my mother to the opposite end of Bellville South, to visit my aunty Sally, in the USA( Bellville South ). What always struck me when we walked down Kasselsvlei rd, were those “SCARY” posters, that someone keeps pasting against the bus huts. It always said ” BLOODSHED at the Civic…… Bread: R2″ I just couldn’t fathom why anyone would want to go to the civic for a gang fight, and still pay R2 for bread !!
Thankfully many years later, I found out that Bloodshed (a very hectic name) was actually a Cape town band, something like the Rockets. I came across this article recently, which thankfully puts a lot of things into perspective.
Is there even the slightest chance that I can get my hands on one my all time favourite song from The Sheds..Keep moving on… Iup until today i find it difficult to convince my friends that i was a great supporter and fan of Bloodshed. Never missed a gig at GP Hotel
Im 58 now and want to convince my friend who are all younger that me that you guys did exist.. PLEASE HELP.

Great. They were stars in Hawston a fishing town in the Overberg. Yes they could play. Their name prevented the success they deserved.
